Who We Are:
Fundación Amistad brings Cubans and Americans together in a powerful model of exchange through which they confront common challenges and celebrate each culture’s unique qualities.
In pursuit of that mission, Fundación Amistad focuses on programs in the area of arts, culture and education, with additional areas of concern including cultural heritage and humanitarian aid as well as Development and Capacity building
Fundación Amistad’s programming approach is linked to its wide, collaborative network of cultural, academic, non-governmental, and humanitarian institutions based in Cuba and the United States, as well as internationally.
Fundación Amistad strives to contribute to the awareness and promotion of Cuba’s contemporary arts and culture, preservation of Cuban cultural heritage and building the capacity of the Cuban people in order to meet their own technical, academic and institutional needs.
We disseminate information about project results to the public through publications, and exhibitions to strengthen the role of participants as active contributors to the development of their local communities, and to raise awareness outside of Cuba.
What We Do:
Fundación Amistad’s resources and capabilities are allocated and directed to meet the special needs of each of our partners in the most effective manner.
Acting as a project developer, we turn an idea into a project with a purpose. We lead our partners through an analysis of their needs and requirements, articulating the scope of work and carefully defining our approach.
We begin by conducting due diligence with our partners to develop a timeline along with a set of specific goals, objectives, outcomes.
Fundación Amistad is also responsible for the planning and design, execution, coordination, monitoring, control and closure of a project.
We work under OFAC’s regulations to keep the project on course from a legal standpoint, helping to ensure that the projects’ goals are reached in an effective manner.
